Congrats

We went out tonight to celebrate Andrew matching for internship with 2 of our closest couple friends in Atlanta. We are so thankful that we have had the opportunity to get to know Matt and Lydia and Jon and Courtney over the past 41/2 years. It has been such a blessing to "do life" with them. We love ya'll!

Special Day, Special Person

I want to take a minute to say Happy Birthday to Andrew's mama, or as we now know her, Sue Sue! We are so thankful for her and her love for us and for Riggs. She has been such a great example and encouragement to us in our marriage and now as an example of a parent for us for Riggs. Thank you Sue Sue for loving us and giving to us unconditionally! We all LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!

Our Destination

Looks like we will be moving to OshKosh Wisconsin for the next year! We are thankful for God's provision and plan and excited to see what He has in store for us. I find myself a little overwhelmed now that we actually know and have to start making plans. I have always been a planner and probably to a fault sometimes. Because of this I am already thinking about how far that is to move, the financial part of it all, finding a job for me and a good day care for Riggs on the days I work, finding a place to live, ect. OH...but God is in control of it and He brought us here and isn't going to just desert us. In these times I look back over my life and see how He always perfectly orchestrates it ALL! I am so thankful for His faithfulness to us. Thank you all for your prayers this far and as we begin this journey to Andrew FINISHING SCHOOL:) YIPPEE!

Just Waiting

We find out if Andrew matched for internship, and if so where, on Friday. With this I have many thoughts and emotions. I can't help but try to prepare myself for both scenarios...the worst (not matching at all and being another year behind) or prepare myself for the best??? Lord willing that he matches, we will be moving to either Missouri, Wisconsin or Indiana!

Andrew and I have been texting one another every day names of God going through the alphabet...starting the first day with A, B, C and on and on. As I think about God and who He is to me the first thing that comes to my mind is His FAITHFULNESS! Thankfully I have not experienced really hard times in my life, but through out all that I have seen and been through in I can see His constant faithfulness to me.

So, as I prepare for Friday I remind myself that He is the one who KNOWS, He is the FAITHFUL one, He is my CREATOR and he deeply cares about all the small and seemingly insignificant things that I so easily allow to overwhelm me. HE IS SO GOOD!

Family Fun Day

We wanted to go to Helen Friday and Saturday just to get away and priceline a cheap hotel. Unfortunately, after looking at the weather we decided just to drive up and spend the day on Friday. We ate at the Smith house and then we were going to go to a place where you can see different types of bears and feed them! Sounds fun huh? Yeah, except for the fact that the bears are still in hibernation!:( So, we got to Helen and walked around, ate some fudge and headed back home! We still had fun though. The weather was beautiful and we have the most laid back, sweet little boy.

A New Thing

I am trying to start a new "thing," as in a new habit!

I am almost finished with the first week of P90x. I really don't like working out at home. I have always enjoyed going to the gym and doing different classes. I am pushed and motivated to not let others out do me:) But, now that I have a little one I have found that I don't take the time to go to the gym. As in, I have not worked out since I had Riggs...almost an ENTIRE YEAR! That has GOT TO change! So here I am doing squats, lunges and pull ups after 12 hours on my feet at work! I think I'm CRAZY!

But, I am motivated to keep on keepin' on!

V-day Fail

I guess I'm a bad mommy...I didn't get Riggs anything for his very 1st Valentine's day!

Andrew and I never really do much for each other for special occasions because, honestly, right now we don't have the money to just go out and buy one another a nice "surprise" for whatever occasion it is. So, when it comes to firsts for Riggs, I feel like I should do something just for the memory...but, I'm taking the route that right now he doesn't know the difference and we don't have the money. I am definetly excited about the day that he will know and I can make him sweet little valentine's day breakfast and make little goodies for him to take to his friends, ect. but for right now I'm just the sad mom who is skipping out on some of the firsts for moneys sake:(

So, that's that.
