Can't get it off of my mind

I cannot stop thinking about what the next 2 years, specifically the 2nd year, will bring for our family! Andrew has one more year of school left starting in September and then we will be moving to BIG QUESTION MARK ??? for his internship. He will start sending in his applications around the end of the summer and hopefully be flying to multiple interviews from November until about January of next year. There are no APA accredited sites in Georgia that are a fit for his long term goals, or for the direction he has been going in school, nor are there really very many in the south.

So, I guess you could say that the fear of the unknown can be overwhelming to me. Although I am so glad to be on this life long journey with my husband, there are times that I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be settled down with him having a steady income or between the two of us, 2 steady incomes! I know that the Bible tells me, "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself"...but sometimes that is hard to cling to. I think about trying to sell our house in the state of our economy now, moving possibly across the country, finding a place to live, moving to that place with a baby and two big dogs, finding a job, finding a church and friends?! I do believe that it is already mapped out perfectly for us, as God has been so faithful to us over the past 5 years with 2 moves and 2 different school and jobs for the both of us quickly at both places! HE IS FAITHFUL and the Lord has always been so faithful to provide so I remind myself of that and how He has proven himself to me over and over again!

So...We shall see where the good Lord will take us on this journey and we should know probably in less than a year if we will become northerners, or enjoy the city or country life, or living out west? It is only for a year...I can do anything for a year:)

What an adventure we call life!

Tara - I know exactly how you are feeling! Going through the Interim Manager program with Chick-fil-A was one of the toughest things for us... possibly moving every three months for a full year with two kids in tow, having none of our own furniture or belongings except for the clothes in our back, having to find new pediatricians and a doctor for a post-partum checkup... It was TOUGH! But now we have reached the end of the IM tunnel and are at the beginning of our next tunnel - ownership of our own Chick-fil-A restaurant! Man, is God faithful...and with you every single step of the way! I know some days it seems unbearable, but He knows exactly where you will be two years from now and exactly how you're going to get there. Rest in His sovereign providence for your sweet family. :)

Tara, I'm so proud to call you guys my friends and to have watched you blossom into an adult-hood that shows continued faith in God. Faith to follow when the question marks are annoying and everything BUT comfortable. :)
This reminds me of a blog I wrote in January of 2010 titled, "When in doubt, remember well." It was from a sermon that challenged me to remember the specific workings of God in my life and to actively think on those when doubtful or down. I know He will give you the strength to do that and trust His character.
I love y'all and look forward to planning a hang-out soon! :)
