Harpin is 9 months!

Well, I'm late again...so what?!?! :)  I have a better excuse this time,  H just had her 9 month well check yesterday and I was waiting on her stats to do her blog post.

So, here goes...

  • You weigh 19 lbs and are 28 inches long..both are 50th percentile.
  • You are yet to crawl or pull up on your own on anything!  I call you a little snail (your daddy  has a less appropriate name for you [paraplegic] because you pull yourself all over the place with your arms and drag your legs along the way!)  If I stand you up at a toy you will stand on your own but have not pulled up on your own yet!  I'm trying not to be in a hurry!
  • You still adore your brother and belly laugh at him quite often.
  • You take two naps, although the morning one is usually interrupted because we are going somewhere or you get a short little one in the car.  If we are home though you sleep from about 8-10am and then lay down in the afternoon a little earlier than Riggs (about 12:30) and wake up anytime between 2:30 and 3:30.  (I'm SO GRATEFUL for good nappers!)
  • You still wake up in the middle of the night at times but I just feed you and you go right back to sleep.  You go to bed between 7 and 7:30 and wake up around 6am.
  • You are still nursing and I'm hoping that going back to work doesn't cause me to have to stop.
  • You are eating table food like a champ! Riggs didn't eat real food for FOREVER...seriously, he was eating baby food in order to get his veggies at 11/2 to 2 yrs old!  You eat whatever we eat and love it all!
  • You love to be outside and are content riding in the stroller while we chase your bro around the yard.
  • You love bathtime.
  • We love your baby blues and you are starting to get some curls in the back or your hair:)
Mama, Daddy and Riggs love you so much Sissy Bell!

My Valentine's

Here are my little sweeties on Valentine's day.  We didn't do a whole lot because my mom and dad came into town to visit and get warm because they were without power due to the ice storm in Augusta.  But, Andrew brought home donuts for breakfast and bought Harpin a cute little pink onsie and got a balloon for Riggs! Riggs loved the balloon and is still playing with it a week later:)  I got a sweet card and two cupcakes from Small Cakes Bakery!  That was the perfect gift because, 1. I love those cupcakes and 2. I just told him a few weeks ago that I would rather have cupcakes than flowers that would die for any occasion:)  I guess you could say that food is the way to my heart! HA!

My Sweeties

While I sit here at my desk in my warm home with a working computer, TV, lights and heat the rest of my family is in Georgia beginning to get a little tired of ice, snow and mostly no electricity!  I missed the fact that we didn't get any snow this time, but thankful that life has gone on as usual.  Andrew is at work and the kids and I are continuing our regular daily routine.

Our routine the past almost 4 months has been WONDERFUL!  I have been able to stay home with my babies and I have loved EVERY last minute of it.  But, there are bills to pay and dreams that we have so I am going back to work on Monday.  The Lord has been so faithful to answer many specific prayer requests as far as this goes and I am so THANKFUL!

I will be working 1-2 days a week in cardiac rehab (8 hour shifts, no weekends, no holidays) and once a week in ICU.  I am working prn in both and so my requirements are minimal!  I have found a daycare that I feel really good about for the kids as well.  I will miss them so much, but at the same time I know that it will be great, especially for Riggs.

Here are some pics I snapped last night of my little sweeties.  They bring us SO MUCH JOY!

Snow FUN

I thought we had escaped the snow when we left Wisconsin!  We were actually thankful for the snow and had alot of fun!  Following the news and seeing what a hard time alot of people had we were very thankful to be home for the day and that Andrew left in time to get home without any trouble.  Riggs doesn't remember our 'consin' snow, as he calls it so he had a great time.

We bundled up and were thankful for all of our warm snow gear:)  Riggs' snow boots no longer fit him so we put on a pair of socks, sandwich bags, another pair of socks and his lined crocs.  I thought he would have gotten cold quickly and wanted to come in, but we had to make him come inside!

Here are some pics from our two days of snow fun!
