Bay Beach Re-run

We went back to Bay Beach Amusement Park on Friday because we had leftover tickets from last week when we went with Tanner and Rachael and we had alot of fun.  It's a neat little place on the River in Green Bay and the tickets are only 25 cents and most rides are 1-2 tickets.  So, we packed a lunch and spent the day there.

This time we were a little more brave and let Riggs try to more "grown up" rides.  He rode the tilt-a-whirl with me and the gigantic slide with Andrew.  He did really well on both and would say "wahoo" with me while spinning out of control in circles:)

Harpin's 1st train ride:) Riggs was not unhappy about the train but having to take a picture.

Sweet, sweet girl makes it so easy for us to be out and about!

He got off this huge slide saying, "again, again"

Mama and Riggs ready to ride the tilt-a-whirl.  He kept saying, "it gone go fast mama"

Our view from the train ride.

Loves wearing "daddy hat," always leaving daddy with some good hat hair:).

We had a great time together and then came home for a long afternoon nap and yummy dinner!

Happy Independence Day

We were thankful to have daddy off for a long weekend and so we planned a weekend of fun! On the 4th we went to Riverside park in Neenah and walked around and enjoyed all the activities including a petting zoo, bounce houses, the big rocket ship playground and just people watching.  We left there and went to McDonald's for a good traditional July 4th meal:), ate lunch and let R get worn out playing in play place.  We put him down for a later than normal nap so we could stay out late and enjoy the fireworks on the River.

You will notice that this is Riggs new favorite face for pictures!

Petting the ponies at the petting zoo.

Sitting on Daddy's shoulder for a view of the karate show.

The fun rocket ship playground.

Our 4th of July lunch consisted of some good ole' Donald's (as R calls it).

My loves waiting on the fireworks.

Excited about the fire trucks (R got confused and kept saying, "come on fire trucks")

One tired boy by the time they finally started.

I was really missing home and being with friends and family for the holiday and long weekend, but I'm really glad that we went to the activities and fireworks here on the 4th and that we had a long weekend with just the 4 of us!
I will post about the rest of our weekend later because I have a few too many pictures for one post.

A Visit from Unca and Rach

Last week my brother and his fiance:) came to visit. They brought my baby back with them and we were excited to see them all!

We had alot of fun getting to spend the week with them.  I just wanted to do yet another recap in pics of the things we did while they were here.

Riggs loves them both and when they were gone he set us in our place a few times.  Once Andrew sat in the seat at the table where Rachael sat all week and he said,  "No daddy-o, Rach sits there!"  and I went to drink a powerade that Tanner left in the fridge and he yelled and said, "Mama NO, that Unca's powerade!"

Thankful to be able to spend time with so much family over the past few weeks.  It's a little lonely and quiet around here now!

We had lots of snuggles and giggles!

We grilled out at the park.

We picked strawberries.

Riggs ate strawberries:)

We went to the zoo.

Had fun with goodies from Unca and Rach.

Went to the Bay Beach nature preserve and amusement park.

And ate way too much!

We love you Unca and Rach...thank you for taking the time off to come and visit!

Riggs Goes to GEORGIA

When my mom came up to visit she took Riggs home and he spent TEN DAYS between GiGi and Papa's and Sue Sue and Granstan's house!  My brother and his new fiance came to visit and Riggs flew back with them.  They said he did great in the airport and on the plane both ways, despite late nights and early mornings!

Andrew and I definitely  missed him ALOT, but we are really thankful he was able to go home and spend one on one time with them!

I got my mom and mother-in-law to send me all the pictures they took while he was there because I wanted to document his first long trip away from mama and daddy so he could look back on it one day.

To say he was spoiled is an understatement!  He stayed up way too late every night, had way too much juice, icecream and McDonald's and he LOVED every minute of it:).

He played at the playground
He went on adventures outside and had fun with Sue Sue and Granstan.
He went to build a bear and came home with Mo, the monkey.
He had a playdate with Chandler complete with fishing and PB&J's.
He went to see Memaw and Pawpaw and visit his Great Great Aunt Jane.
He swam like a little fish.

He split the time at each house and he did great!  I am so thankful for such a laid back, flexible little boy.  We talked to him everyday and thankfully and sadly he didn't miss us one bit!  There are many other things he did in those ten days I'm sure, but these are some of the highlights!

Thank you GiGi and Papa and Sue Sue and Granstan for getting him there and loving on our sweet boy.

Photo Shoot

When Harpin was about a week old I decided last minute that I would really regret not having any newborn pictures done of her.  I frantically got online and searched for someone that I could afford and set a time to have some pics done.  I coordinated outfits with a plan to get some of she and Riggs together and some of the four of us!  DID NOT HAPPEN!  Apparently neither of my kids really like to have their pics made.  It took us almost an hour to get her to sleep in order to get that snuggled up newborn look and that took up most of the hour and a half session that I paid for. With that said, we got some of her but none of she and Riggs or us as a family:(

I got a nice camera for Christmas 2 years ago and have yet to learn how to take it out of auto, but I took it outside while my mom was here and tried to get some pics of my babies.  They definitely are not professional, nor edited considering I know how to do none of that, but they are memories captured nonetheless.

I love his little fingers.

"No take my picture Mama!"

Sometimes I can't believe he's mine!

I love his little hands holding her.

This girls hairline...if it stays this way we may have some serious teenager problems:)
