We came home from church last Sunday and I couldn't resist taking some pictures of my girl! No one here appreciates a pretty, simple smocked dressed, sweet little bow and some monogrammed bloomers, but this mama was eating up her cuteness!
an·ec·dote (nk-dt A short account of an interesting or humorous incident. My attempt at recording and hopefully keeping up with interesting and humorous events in our little family!

Comparison
It's funny that I thought they looked alike when they were born and now I don't really see any similarities other than SWEET, PRECIOUS BABIES:)
Harpin is 3 months!
Harpin turned 3 months old while we were home visiting and then I came back and worked all weekend so I am just now getting to putting up pictures and what she's been up to this month.
Here's a little of what you have been up to sweet baby girl...
Here's a little of what you have been up to sweet baby girl...
- You found your hands this week and its so cute to see you bring them up to your face and get them into your mouth.
- You have decided to do away with being fully swaddled. Every night you would either wake up or when I went in to get you in the morning your arms would be all the way out. So for the past two weeks we just put the swaddler on and wrap it around your legs only.
- You found your voice within the past 2 weeks. I love to hear you talk talk talk:)
- You are still in size 1 diapers.
- Moving in to size 3-6month clothing.
- You nurse every 3-4 hours and we are getting into a more regular 4 hour schedule now.
- You sleep from 9pm to about 6am and occasionally wake up to eat around 3am.
- You are great at tummy time and love to lift your head up.
- I think the conclusion after going home is that you look like your cousin Georgia!
- You are so easy going and laid back. The past 2 weeks any time we look at you you just smile a big grin.
- You met your Papa and GranStan and all your Aunts, Uncles and cousins, for the first time last week! They love you and think you are beautiful.
- You have been sick for the first time this week and it breaks my heart to see my babies not feeling well:(.

What's Next?
Good question Tara!:) I wish I knew what was next. It's interesting because over the past few years when I am anxious and wondering this exact question I realize that I have absolutely NO control over it! It's not like we have several doors open and we have to try to decide which one is best or God's plan. It is literally just waiting to see what unfolds and find joy in where we are!
Andrew finishes his intership the end of this month. We are almost FINISHED! So, he had an interview Monday at a prison in Red Granite, WI, about 45 min. from where we live now and he had an interview in Oshkosh today(where he is interning now). He has also applied to two jobs closer to home and we are just waiting to find out about those.
I pray specifically that if God's plan is for us to stay here that He would do a work and change my heart in that direction. But, I also pray specifically that Andrew would get the job in Estill, SC (1hr. and 1/2 from home, he has family that lives there, 1hr from Hilton Head) and that I would be able to cut back working and stay at home with my babies! Those are my two main prayers. In the midst of praying specifically, I also know that His plan is BEST. So, hopefully this will all unfold in the next month or so and we will know what lies ahead a little bit. I am such a planner and it's killing me to sit and wait on what's next!
SO, What's next?? I DUNNO!
But, I will leave you with a little sweetness...
7 Years!
Our SEVENTH anniversary was last Monday! Seven years...I can't believe that it was been that long. It is crazy to think that we have been together for a total of 13 years.
It's funny, on the day of our anniversary we both posted almost the same thing on facebook. Seven years, two children, 3 houses, 3 cities, 2 states, 4 or more jobs, and many more exciting times ahead! I'm so thankful that God blessed me with Andrew as my husband. I won't make this a dating post, but I'm thankful that God spared me of alot of heart ache and allowed me to marry the first guy I even dated and ever loved! What a blessing!
I wish I had a lot of pics of us from the past when we were much younger, skinnier, not nearly as wise:) but that's a project from another day.

31 Things
I thought I would write 31 things that I love about my husband as we celebrate another year of his life!
- He loves me:)
- He loves our children with all that he is.
- He reminds me that organization and plans are not always needed.
- He likes to have fun.
- He is money conscious and keeps me accountable.
- He does the researching!...I like to buy and plan but I hate to do the leg work. Definetely thankful that this is something he's good at.
- Although it is not often, he is not afraid to show his emotions.
- He daily abandons his adult, mature self to roll and crawl on the floor and play "bull" with Riggs .
- He's smart...much smarter than me! I can only hope our children get that from him.
- He's always willing to help. I can tend to complain alot that he doesn't just do things..but if I ask he's more than willing.
- He is such an active daddy and present in parenting our babies.
- He loves to go or he loves to stay home. So FLEXIBLE.
- When we go somewhere he usually drives and some how I hardly even have to get gas in my car (it's the little things).
- He's learned to make some pretty awesome pancakes and biscuits from scratch (thanks Sue Sue).
- He loves the Lord and desires His plan and His best for our family.
- He's athletic.
- He's pretty darn handsome.
- He tends to love people that can drive most people crazy!
- He comes home from work ready to play even though I know he would love to have a few minutes of down time.
- He will go shopping with me.
- He deals with my dream big and in the future mindset although he is an 'in the present' type of guy.
- He changes diapers, burps, rocks and sings to our babies.
- He's even tempered. He stays calm ALOT when I am not so calm.
- He is always quick to apologize...(even when something may not be his fault).
- He wakes up early and lets me sleep..alot (even if its usually only for 10 or 15 more min., isn't it great not to be the first one out of bed?!)
- He's sacrificial.
- He holds me, loves me, cries and laughs with me.
- He's giving.
- He could care less about coming home to a clean house or a homemade dinner (although I know he likes the dinner part)
- He has this terrible habit of needing something chocolate and a tall glass of milk EVERY SINGLE NIGHT..and I may secretly join him with no remorse.
- He's MINE!
Happy to you
Today is this mans 31st Birthday! I am working all weeked so we did a little something for him on Thurdsday. We went to target to get one last thing to add to his birthday present and I got Riggs excited about making daddy a birthday card and cake. Oh boy, I should learn not to tell him anything until the exact second that it will take place because this is what I heard until we got home, "daddy close his eyes, have surprise," "make daddy cake," "I have cake," "where daddy hat?" and on and on:)
So, we got home and wrapped daddy's present and made him a card. I sure should have taken some pictures. I flipped through magazines and told Riggs to point at anything he thinks daddy likes and we would cut it out and put it on his card. He picked a picture of pizza and goldfish:) His excitement was SO cute!
We took naps and then woke up and made daddy a cake.
After dinner that night I called Riggs into his room (where I hid the cake, gift and card) and asked him if he was ready to sing to daddy...his face lit up! So I lit the candles and here we came down the hallway singing "Happy to you, happy to you daddy" (R's own rendition of Happy Birthday).
Before Andrew could even open his gift Riggs said, "where you hat daddy?"
So, Riggs likes to celebrate and sing "Happy to you!"
We are so thankful for another year with the best husband, daddy and friend! We LOVE YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
