Evy Ruth is 5 months old!

It blows my mind that five months has come and gone! You are such a joy little girl:).

What you have been up to this month...

-you are growing so big and love to jump in the Johnny jumper and your exersaucer.

-you love bath time with Riggs and Harpin.

-your giggle is so cute and you laugh when we tickle you.

-you are still in size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes.

-you are nursing still and eat every 4 hours during the day.

-you sleep through the night SOMETIMES. 

-you love to be outside in the exersaucer or riding around in the stroller while the big kids play.

Labor Day Weekend

We went home to Appling for Labor Day weekend to spend the weekend with the Anderson's.  

The kids are always thrilled to get to go to Sue Sue and Granstan's and even more so to see all of their cousins! Andrew was thrilled for a day of dove hunting with his brothers and dad also!  We swam, played outside and of course ate too much.

Harpin's 1st boat ride.  She was not a fan!  She cried THE WHOLE TIME, " I not like it, I get down!"  Poor baby.  We got her back to land ASAP!

Evy Ruth is 4 Months Old!

This has been a BIG month for our sweet baby girl!  You are growing so fast, it makes this mama's heart sad to realize this is probably the last time we will watch a baby meet all these sweet milestones.

Some things you are up to...

• You weigh 14.5lbs(54%) and are 26 inches long (87%)
• You are rolling from tummy to back really well and have started rolling from back to front also.
• You are giggling and it is the CUTEST thing!
• I think you will be a thumb sucker when you can figure out how to keep it in your mouth.
• We put you in the exersaucer this month and it's a big hit.
• Brother and sister still adore you.  It's precious to hear them talk to you in their high pitched baby talk.
• You are starting to wear size 2 diapers.
• You're wearing 6 month clothes.
• You are starting to go 4 hours between feedings and are still drinking breastmilk only.
• You are starting to transition to a morning nap, afternoon nap and a short evening nap.
• When you take a bottle you drink 5-6 oz.
• You have pretty blue eyes like your sister and still have dark brown hair and look alot like Riggs.

Harpin's 1st Haircut

Even though we adore those sweet blonde curls, Harpin was starting to get a frizzy looking mullet that always bunched together into one big, long curl. So, at a little over 2 years old it was time for a haircut! 

In your sassy fashion you started off pitching a fit and then the minute I reminded you that we would get an icecream if you say still you became a little statue.

Evy Ruth is 3 Months Old!

THREE MONTHS!
 It's crazy how time works.  I feel like you have been here for a lot longer, but at the same time the time is flying by?!?! If that makes any sense!?

Some things you are up to...

• You are still in size 1 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.
• You still love to be swaddled.
• You drink from a bottle like a champ, thankfully! You usually drink 4-5 oz if you take my milk from a bottle.
• You are doing well at daycare on the two days that mama is at work.
• You do well with tummy time, although it still doesn't last very long.
• You are losing some of your thick, dark hair.
• You nurse every 3-4 hours.  You eat and then stay awake for 45 min to an hour and then you are ready to nap. Since we are usually on the go in the mornings you usually take a longer nap when bro and sis nap, which is really nice for mama!
• You are beginning to despise the carseat and usually cry when you are in it:(
• You night time sleeping is hit or miss.  Sometimes you sleep all night and other times you wake up between 2am and 4am to eat.  The good thing is that you go right back to sleep.
• You usually nap in the swing.  Mama has tried a few times laying you in your crib for nap and you aren't having it.  I haven't worked too hard on it yet b/c I just want to sit and rest when everyone is napping at the same time!                                                                                         
  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  
  

Evy Ruth is 2 Months Old!

Two months came and went quickly with three kiddos at home.  Because I was going to be returning to work twice a week we continued to take the big kids to "school" to keep their routine and give me some time to rest and spend with Evy Ruth.  Andrew was great to take them to school those days and I was able to catch up on things...like rest:) and snuggling my sweet baby.  It's crazy that she is the third and I feel like I spent more time sitting and just spending it with her than I did the other two.  I am so thankful to have had this time!  Knowing that this is likely our last baby, unless God has planned otherwise, you just need to spend a little extra time!

So, here is what month two looked like....

• Smiling
• Finding your feet
• sleeping through the night 
• weighing 12.5lbs (75%) and 23.9 inches long (90%)
• Going to the gym with mama and sitting in the corner sleeping even with the loud music...You're a tropper:)
• Trip to Appling for the first time.
• You are doing well with tummy time and holding your head up even though it doesn't last very long.
• Your bro and sis still love you to pieces and we love to hear Harpin say, "she cryin', Eby Roof cryin'"  as she runs to attend to you and give you your paci.

This picture cracks me up because your bro and sis love to sing the song "watch me whip, watch me nae nae" and this arm looks like the dance move for whip:)

Evy Ruth is 1 month!

Evy Ruth, you have been such a blessing and perfect addition to our family.

Some things about you this first month...

• You nurse right at every 3 hours and you are eating like a champ
• Since you are eating like a champ at one month you weights 10.4 lbs and were 22.5inches long.
• You love being swaddled tight and have been sleeping in the pack and play in our room.
• You are just like your big bro and sis and like to be bounced and patted when you are upset.
• You are in size 1 diapers already.
• Size 3 month clothes.
• Riggs and Harpin already adore you and have adjusted so well with their new baby sister around!
