Photo Shoot

When Harpin was about a week old I decided last minute that I would really regret not having any newborn pictures done of her.  I frantically got online and searched for someone that I could afford and set a time to have some pics done.  I coordinated outfits with a plan to get some of she and Riggs together and some of the four of us!  DID NOT HAPPEN!  Apparently neither of my kids really like to have their pics made.  It took us almost an hour to get her to sleep in order to get that snuggled up newborn look and that took up most of the hour and a half session that I paid for. With that said, we got some of her but none of she and Riggs or us as a family:(

I got a nice camera for Christmas 2 years ago and have yet to learn how to take it out of auto, but I took it outside while my mom was here and tried to get some pics of my babies.  They definitely are not professional, nor edited considering I know how to do none of that, but they are memories captured nonetheless.

I love his little fingers.

"No take my picture Mama!"

Sometimes I can't believe he's mine!

I love his little hands holding her.

This girls hairline...if it stays this way we may have some serious teenager problems:)

A Zoo Day

One of the days that my mom was here and the sun actually decided to make an appearance we took Riggs and Harpin to the Greenville Zoo.  It's quite an interesting place.  It's only about 5 miles from our house and nestled in the middle of the small town of Greenville, right beside a little league baseball field and icecream shop!  It was started by a couple after the husband had open heart surgery and was advised by his surgeon to do something he loves.  Who wouldn't decide to open a zoo??!!

They started out with small animals and now they have lions, tigers and bears..(OH MY!) and alot of other interesting animals!

I didn't get too many pics, but here are a few.

He was THIS excited about the play ground across the road:)

And just for fun, here are some of him at this same zoo last summer.

Where did my little boy go?
Hmm...I wonder if this is the same zebra as above?!

Grandma visits

We have been blessed to have both of our moms here to visit in the past month!  Sue Sue came a week before Harpin was born to be here to keep Riggs when I went to the hospital and then was here another week while we were in the hospital and to be here when I came home.  It was such a blessing to have her to keep Riggs and help out with him and around the house when we came home.

After Sue Sue left we had a week alone and then GiGi came for a week and a half.  Needless to say, Riggs has been spoiled!

I don't have too many pictures from when Sue Sue was here:( We spent alot of time playing at the park, napping and playing some more!  And then 3 days we were in the hospital and then home with Harpin.
When mom came I was feeling rested and ready to get out so we went to the park, went on alot of walks...on in which it started pouring down rain and we were still 1/2 a mile or more from the house and we all, including little Harpin in the baby bjorn, got DRENCHED!  We went to the zoo one day and just enjoyed one another and the babies!

Here are some of the pics that I have from our time with both of them.
